There is always a plan at the beginning, there should be at least.
However, at some point, things get complicated. You are on your own, you have to follow your path intuitively, you have to decide the next color, next brush stroke almost without knowing what will be the outcome.
This is exactly such king of painting with extreme complexity, a lot of colors, variations of tones. I still feel there is some more to go with this subject, but for the moment I have to content myself with this one, actually quite happy.
I hardly remember which colors I used.
For the grays, I used a lot of cerulean blue mixing it with violets and reds.
I introduced sepia this time for the darks.
